Palatine Hills Golf Association Palatine Illinois 6006

  1. President Gene Dorsch called the May 2006 to order t 7:30pm.
  2. The minutes of the April meeting were read and approved.
  3. The financial report was presented and reviewed. A zero deficit was forecasted for the year. The report was accepted as presented.
  4. The park board liaison, Bob Alexander, reported the PPB bond rating was the third highest in the state.
  5. Scoring and Handicap Chairman, Derrell Gilstrap, reported on the following issues:
    1. Requested that veteran members who have not paid their dues be contacted. Larry Niemczyk will do.
    2. Several bugs were fixed
    3. Requested that all members use their member numbers on scorecards
    4. Will make the membership list available with a password
  6. A general discussion was held on the GEM program. Members may play from alternate tees as long as it is noted on the scorecard. Handicaps will be adjusted according
  7. TTB committee reported the awards dinner will be held at the same place. 100 players limit. Shotgun start is out. Possible use of pace of play cards to be used. USGA rules under review.
  8. The course management wishes to charge for collecting weekly entry fees. There will be additional discussions with the course on this issue.

9.      The next travel event is May 16 and the second and last one will be July.
