  7. The rules of slow play for the TTB were discussed with no resolution.

  8. A discussion was held on the rules of play for the TTB. There was a feeling among some that slow play was caused by playing the game according to the USGA rules although there was no hard data to review. The committee suggested that the pace of play cards be used and play according to modified rules. The President pointed out that this introduces two variables. The rules committee pointed out there is no way to adjudicating properly a lost ball dispute under the tacit local lost ball rule. A motion was made and passed to play under local rules. The President asked the TTB chair to format the lost ball rule in writing for review during the September meeting.

  9. John Helpap announced his resignation from the rules committee. President accepted.

  10. The next meeting will be at 6pm prior to TTB Smoker.

  11. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50pm.

Respectfully submitted,

John Helpap
