PALATINE HILLS GOLF ASSOCIATION PALATINE HILLS DRIVE PALATINE, ILLINOIS 60067

1.                  President Ken Mattuck called the meeting to order at 7:30pm, 12 October 2006.

2.                  Raul Zaldivar, Manager of Revenue Facilities Palatine Park District, joined are meeting to have a open discussion of course conditions and other concerns that appeared during the past two seasons. Raul gave a general background of how the budget was put together, manpower problems, and some proposals for solutions. Board members discussed several specific items and there was a lengthy discussion on these issues. Raul stated certain budget issues were out of his control. It was suggested that the PHGA appoint a committee to meet with representatives of the Palatine Park Board to address our issues. Raul supported this proposed action. A committee consisting Ken Mattuck, Gene Dorsch, Bob Mathieson, and John Helpap will develop an action plan for this meeting. The minutes of the September meeting were read and approved.

3.                  The financial report was presented and approved.

4.                  Bob Alexander reported that the drive into the course would be paved during the winter.

5.                  Derrell Gilstrap reported on several items concerning scoring and hole handicaps:

a.      .25 fee per player will be paid to cover the cost of collection

b.      GEM program also includes the Black tees

c.       The same collection process will be used as in 2006.

d.      The hole handicap will be the same for competitors regardless of the tee played.

6.                  The travel events chairman for 2007 will be Bob Bern assisted by Jim Nolan.

7.                  The meeting was adjourned at 9:15pm.

8.                  The next meeting will be announced at a later date.
