- President Ken Mattock called the Feb. 15, 2007 meeting to
order at 7:30pm.
- Missing from the meeting were Del Foster, Ed Neumann and
RickHapanowicz.
- The minutes of the October 12, 2006 meeting were read and
approved.
- Bob Alexander, park board liaison, reported very positive
feedback to PHGA presentation to the park board. (See attached letter from
the golf course management.) John Helpap suggested that Brad Helms and
Raul Zaldivar be invited back to our May meeting to follow-up to the
course’s action plan.
- Financial report was presented and approved. The budget
was presented based on dues at $40 and 160 members. The budget projected
a positive cash flow of $145 for the year and an equity balance of
$$5,854. The budget was passed as presented.
- Darrell Gilstrap, Handicap and Scoring chair, reviewed the
revised PHGA web site. Members phone numbers will be listed on the
membership roster; E-mail addresses will be optional.
- Special events chairmen, Bob Bem and Gary Schweitz,
reviewed the program for the 2007 season. A discussion was held
concerning the sign-up procedure. Action was tabled for additional
information. A deposit of $304 was approved for the Ruffled Feathers event.
- A discussion was held on the sign-up procedure for the Holiday events. Both the black box and a possible electronic process were discussed.
Derrell is to follow-up.
- A proposal to use Pay-pay for events was discussed. After
the discussion, it was decided to use it for membership dues on a trial
basis.
- Ken Mattuck was authorized to purchase two clocks with
stands to be placed on the first and tenth tees. All committee assignments
were made and to be posted on the web site.
- The next meeting is scheduled for March 15, 2007 7pm at
the park district.
- The meeting was adjourned at 9:20pm.
