1.  The September2008 meeting was called to order at 6pm by President Ed Neuman  All board members were present except Bob Lada.

2. Minutes from the August meeting were read and approved as presented.

3. Pat Driscoll presented the treasurer’s report and it was accepted.

4. The Scoring and Handicap chairman reported everything was in order.

5. Bob  Bem reported that all the wind shirts were distributed except for 2 or 3.

6. The rules for the two ball were reviewed.  All local rules will be suspended for the event and USGA rules will prevail.

7. The golf course has donated green fees/cart that will be raffled off at the smoker.

8. Jim Nolan announced the passing of Mrs. Betty Takahashi.  A donation of $500 was approved for the given charity, the Palatine Park District.  This will be augmented by proceeds from the raffle and personal donations.

9. Four members were approved to play in the two ball that did not meet the 12 or 15 event requirement.

10.  The pot game chairs will be Bob Lada and Ken Mattuck.

11.  Jim Nolan will chair the Turkey Shoot.

12.  The next meeting will  be October 9, 2008.  Time and placed TBA.

13.  The meeting was adjourned  at 6:35pm.
