Call to Order:  Gary Schweitz called the meeting to order at 7pm

 

  1. Minutes:         Feb. 19th, 2009 board meeting were not presented.

 

 

  1. Treasurer’s Report:  Report was presented to board members.

 

 

  1. Park District Report:  Renewals for Park District Discount card can be obtained from the Palatine Hills Clubhouse—Resident and Non-resident

 

 

  1. New Member Liaison:  Niemczyk reported one new member

 

 

  1. Golf Course Liaison and Weekend Pot Games:  No Report Presented

 

 

  1. Scoring and Handicap:  James reported everything is ready to go for the 2009 season.

 

 

  1. Rules of Play Committee:  No report Presented

 

 

  1. Handicap Committee:  No report was presented

 

 

  1. GEM Committee:  New GEM rules for Thursday travel events will be sent our to the membership within 2 weeks

 

 

  1. Match Play Event:  Sign up will be at the Spring Smoker

 

 

  1. Spring Smoker:  Food-Beer, Pop and Pizza will be served at the smoker.  $18 per person is budgeted which includes tax and 15% gratuity.  Raffle Registration-Nothing to report everything is ready to go.  Ticket Sales-Everything is ready to go.

 

 

  1. Travel Events Committee:  Foursome Selection-Foursomes will be selected at random by the computer.  Pace of Play Penalty-There will be no PHGA pace of play penalties-follow local rules.  Refunds for Travel events-Tabled for review at the next board meeting.

 

 

  1. Spring Scramble:  Everything is ready to go.

 

 

  1. New Business Clean Up and Tabled Items:  Sandwiches will be served on the Day of the holiday for Holiday events.  Sandwich cost for the Takahashi Classic is not in the budget and will be determined at a later date.   USGA stroke and distance rules will apply on the Day of the holiday for Holiday Events and for the Takahashi Classic.
