PHGA Board Meeting Thursday March 11, 2010

Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Bob Bem
Board minutes From February 11, 2010 were read and approved.
Treasurers Report – Joe Saccomanno reported 36 players have paid 2010 dues.
Park District Report/Golf Course Liaison – Bob Alexander reported the golf course purchased a fairway mower that will be in service immediately. The Park District Board is still investigating leasing other equipment for the 2010 season, a decision is pending.
New Member Liaison – Jim Jessogne will set up a table at the permanent tee time drawing with PHGA information for prospective members. He will email the proposed flier to the board for approval. There are currently 3 new members.
Travel Event Committee – Bob Bem announced the Bartlett Hills event will be changed, information on this and future events will be posted on the web site.
Old Business
Scott Feldmiller reported the scorecards are being printed and will be available in time for the first event of the season.
The John Dempster dedication ceremony will be scheduled for the spring, TBD after talking with his family.
Additional
Business
The signup continues for the Spring Scramble, there is space for 12 more golfers without requesting additional times.
Larry Niemczyk will take donations for the Dick Semelsberger memorial, an announcement will be made at the Smoker.
The spring Smoker will be held at the Palatine Hills Clubhouse on Friday April 2. Attendees are encouraged to bring a prize for the raffle.
Board meetings will take place the second Thursday of each month, next meeting Thursday April 8.
